[4 tutorials for flash MX]

not bad..

informative, yet concise tutorial... straight to the point - variation of text colour is good as well. The tutorials you present are pretty interesting, i like the fact that they are all tutorials of action scripting... i'll definitely give your tutorial a try when i get Flash MX working again. But what's with the white ? on the sides of the screen, left, & right... anyway, good job

hey, i remember you.. you're that prospect that kept trying to get atleast 1 flash submission into newgrounds... well, your looking pretty good ! great style, and unqiue approach.. it's because it was different kept me interested, and i bet your still developing as a flash author.. which is good to see, you'll be able to move on to bigger and better things... but some advice, you might want to animate the hand movements drawing and stuff in the future, might want to sync in the 'pencil on paper' sound effect more critically and timely.. and the visual effect of the fire could be improved... but you deserve a break my friend.. pretty good effort, and idea

haha BlooKat's zombie-like facial-less expression looked so lost on so many levels; - i found that funny i dunno' why, heh.. good job! .. and how he ate that red thing, it was so random.. i gotta' admire your simple commedy style, the classic "dumb character that gets out of all these dangerous scenarios, leaving a very pissed of villian" - love it ! keep this style, it's funny. Add a replay button too at the end! Also, i liked your drawings, and how you applied the colour & shadings. Nice flash, and nice work mann

you're off to a pretty good start, nice animation and graphic visuals on the sprites.. hope you've got more sprites to continue the series - you might want to start developing a storyline, and putting some thought into it... might want to add some sound effects also, hope to see a lengthier longer sequal! good work, well done with the flash

violent, and random... nice

the frame by frame animation was executed pretty well ! i see the blood visuals was animated in detail as well, good work on that; the ending scared me a little, like what were you on about ? the 'dedication' stuff ...haha anyways.... the sound effects are also greatly timed as well.. now apply and replicate this talent into an appropriate storyline that suits your style, can't wait to see the polished flash in the near future - good job, nice work

it's a good idea...

informative, concise, and straight to the point.. i like, i like - atleast now i know which keywords to put in the search engines, thank you. heh as someone already said.. it was cool how you could control him even when you advanced through the menu pages... but it would be help if you turned that blue colour'd action script, into a textbox - so like you can copy and paste it, it would be much easier and convenient ^_^. Your tutorial was helpful, with its easy to navigate menu, and the visual aids you presented were pretty cool as well - nice job

hahaha this stuff is genious mann, funny stuff!! it has sort of like a 'casual' funny sensation to it - that's what made it so funny.. like no big deal i just ate the guys arm; also mixed with the innocence of the lovable culprits... 'i guess i'll try a little' , loved that scene.. and then haha half his bodies gone!! and the material in their conversation was funny az haha, and the twist at the end made it funnier... coz' atleast he wasn't harmed, i think! haha and how the red blob vomited heh... GREAT STYLE too, got to admire the characters and your drawing of the bum, - it was a great drawing! the whole flash was great mann... this would be an AWESOME SERIES.. don't stop here, the world of Newgrounds is your oyster.

Heh, thanks a lot. Glad to see some people enjoyed this. To answer your question, yeah this is the first episode of a series. Still trying to work out some problems I'm having on my next one, and I have a lot of school work to keep up with, but I'll definitely have more to show.

lot's of style, - something new; i like!

aww... how cute & feminine.. heh, the ending i mean - NICE!! nice pre-loader feature too... kept me occupied :-) i was like mixing and matching every dress up combination haha, but the movie seemed to run slow with me through most of the duration of the flash... did you use a high frame rate per second or something ? my 'puter can't handle that stuff heh... great depth in the colour's... a blue aura to it; and got to admire the smoothness and edges of your graphics as well ^_^ nice background music composition too... selected nicely - great originality, and quite an interesting plot you presented... well done with your flash :-) great job

The movie runs at 24fps. Some folks did say it runs slowly, so I'm sorry about that. I don't have a super computer (Athlon XP 1700+, 512MB PC2700 RAM, Win XP). I never got slowdown, and video card matters not to Flash. Save the swf file and run it in a smaller window. How do you save Flash movies off NG? View source, find the swf's URL, stick that URL in a program like GetRight, and save!

thoughtful, artistic... deep - NICE

i like the use of the yellowish 'angelic' like haze... your first glimpse... and appealing conception of her.. only to realise that the girl you were confronting had an aura of darkness, - and an overwhelming sensation of sadness was experienced.. you were 'tangled' in your attempts to persist at fixing the doomed relationship, and ignored the 'flashes' (evil red eyes) that you swiftly felt, but took little recognition of... i don't even know if i interpreted it properly but that's how i did... great work, although i am sad of your loss, and sympathise with you.. though there are other girls :-) better one's that are less conceited... great imaginative flash.. although the addition of an orchestrated background audio & sound would of intensified the dramatic scenario you present'd... but well done indeed

Damn... You were right on the money. I didnt even think of the "Black Vines" as a tangles relationship... but it works for me, i just thought they looked cool. You know like summoned minons ready to pull you down into a state of eternal hell.

GREAT!!... but there's no sound?! how come? :-(

aww... he looked so sad mann, when he was watching the bird, a little boy depressed - the force that is gravity suppressing his dreams and desires to fly... it was almost a happy ending to see him smile, and get his wish - even though he died in the process... obviously it the flash convey's a message at a deeper level... great purpose, intent, and execution! everything else was spot on... animation, drawing style, and colour's were exceptional! but you need to use sound in all your flash, it's just as an important necessity as quality graphics! i hope you are able to apply it to your flash, coz' you have macromedia skills mann... quality sound make's the difference between a good flash, and a great flash.
